Principal’s Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to the Kensington Aldridge Academy (KAA) website. KAA is an 11 – 18 academy situated in the heart of Notting Hill. We opened in brand new buildings in September 2014 with just Year 7, and since then have grown into a full school with over 1,250 students.

KAA is a high performing academy with a strong local and national profile. In December 2017 Ofsted graded the school “outstanding” in all areas and described standards as “exceptional”. In 2018 KAA was named the TES Secondary School of the Year. Students and parents who are considering KAA, or teachers who are interested in working with us, can read our Ofsted report here, our 2022 Good Schools Guide review here, and see our recent results here.

Our Sixth Form is also outstanding. Over half of all Year 13 leavers progress to Russell Group Universities, with a small number to Oxbridge each year. Any current Year 11 students interest in applying for KAA6 should visit our Sixth Form pages.

Another distinctive feature of KAA is our partnerships. We are linked with Godolphin & Latymer and Charterhouse independent schools, and this helps provide our students with opportunities that are unique in the state sector. We are also partnered with LAMDA and the Royal Academy of Dance and have a specialism in performing and creative arts subjects.

We hope that if you click around our website you will be able to find any information you need. We have included details of our curriculum, information about our partners, recent videos and news stories showcasing the many achievements of our fantastic students, our prospectus and Sixth Form prospectus, any current staff vacancies and details of all other elements of life at KAA. Prospective parents and students should visit our admissions pages for details of how to apply.

With best wishes,

Anna Jordan
Principal
